The most recent...

Last weekend was quite productive, and I ended up adding this bag to my collection. I cut out enough material to make two of these exactly (except the buttons will be different) and then I realized I didn't really like the way the brown flowers turned out... so I'll probably be doing something a little different. But I'll put them up on Etsy either way.

This green and brown bag however, I can't bear to part with. I love it! My new favorite, that's for sure--even though it is a little big for my current needs. I'll have to start bringing my sketch book to work again, and the laptop, just to feel I am utilizing its capacity! And after using it all week (more hectic than usual) I found time this after noon to work on a clutch to match:

What do you think?
The only difficulty right now is that the top pocket is rather loose, and so I'm loosing the card out the top :( not good. I'm thinking about 'giving' it away, and making another one similar.... We shall have to see how adventurous I feel tomorrow!

So this weekend was unusually productive, and I am happy with the turn out! A personalized calendar (something I have been wanting to do for almost a year now), and a wall hanging that matches the bags I finished earlier.
And then we finished this easy bag too! I think I may keep it, instead of posting it... the hard part is that since I like it, others probably will as well.

Mother-Daughter Bags

To Meredith: These bags turned out so cute, I hope that they meet your expectations. I wish that I could give them to you in person, but by courier will have to suffice.
I hope that the purples are purple enough, that the combination of prints are pleasing to the eye, and that Abby loves her version of 'Mom's Bag.'
Thinking of you often, Marianne

So one day while going through my hoards of things... I found a box filled with miniature fairies, made from assorted materials. I had forgotten my previous fascination with creating these art pieces. I was struck again with the possibilities that exist everywhere to create a little magic with a few scraps here and there. Sadly some bugs had overtaken the box where they were held, and I had to trash the majority. But before their untimely end, I wanted to commemorate a past intrigue and perhaps encourage a future interest.

They varied in size, but stay within the 2"x2" size for the most part -- perfect small rear-view mirror decorations, or shelf decor.

Success!

Clean!
Organized!
Space!
Hours upon hours of work, summed up in three or four words... and now for the results! Fun and games, here I come! Thank you to Eric for suggesting the utilization of the closet space--most helpful! And there is still room for Amy and the Boys come Monday. :)
