Odds and Ends
Just a few things I've been working on at home.... the colors aren't well represented in the second picture, so I'll have to re-shoot before I post them on my Etsy site.... should turn out well-

BPS plug...
Some of the websites available for crafting-scrapbooking tutorials are not always exciting for me. I feel that I have to do things the way the teacher shows us, or I will be looked down on. I like to have fun and explore several different things, and finally I found a great class to take!
It is listed through Big Picture Scrapbooking (see link here) and I am having so much fun right now! The class I am taking is about several different techniques for crafting, and can be utilized in all genres! I am so excited to learn! The class is titled: 52 card pick up: tips, techniques and recipes to jump start your creativity!

contemplations...
I wanted to send my sister, who just left on a mission (to Tacoma Washington!), some quotes. I send her quotes often, but this time I wanted to do something a little different. With some scraps of material that I had left over from another project, I threw together a little fabric envelope-- Perfect for a collection of inspiring thoughts! I added a few other things as well, but it will be easier to take to church, and not look so tacky as a beat-up paper envelope (that she is currently using). I think I may make a few more to add to my Etsy site: What do you think?
I finally was able to finish the bag I was working on for my sister Michelle's birthday. I love how it turned out! But I did end up having more trouble with it than expected. I guess that sort of happens when you stress out more than needed, lose sleep and use some one else's machine. At least the end result is pleasing (or at least I hope it will be!)
I really like how the blocks are stacked like bricks instead of like a grid. I think I may have to do this again! I love the greens (of course :)
And the detail of the handles outside the bag, with buttons, makes this bag just a little different than most of the bags I've made so far. I hope she likes it!
